We don’t overcome loneliness, we learn to embrace it. In the arms of self-love, loneliness slowly loosens its grip, and we realize that we’re not alone.
Perhaps what we lose as we grow up is the agreement that life is full of possibility – that we can fly… and that we deserve to.
What I found at the Shaolin Temple was that I couldn’t find peace; I had to learn instead to be at peace with what I found in me… both the warrior and monk.
I think about that a lot … enlightenment and ordinary mind. I’ve begun to see my every day life and my spiritual practice as one in the same.
